Magic Mountain

Magic Mountain

Magic Mountain is an amusement park that many people living around California have been to. I have decided to blog about Magic Mountain because it has been a really long time since I have been there and I am going tomorrow. The last time I went their the new rides had not yet come out. The new rides are Full Throttle, Twisted Colossus, and a new Revolution ride. I have been on every other ride at the park. My favorite rides are X2 and Tatsu. I suggest you get a flash pass one day and just go on every ride because they are all great.
I know what some of you are probably thinking."I have never been on a roller coaster and I'm scared." Or, "I am scared of rides with loops."
I was once like you my friend. All it took me to break my barrier of fear for roller coasters with loops on them was a couple of really convincing friends and a lot of courage. I just thought to myself that I wasn't going to die so why not give it a shot. After I went on my first roller coaster with a loop, my mind changed about roller coasters. I wasn't scared of any roller coasters. They all just seemed so fun to me. Especially when it was night time and I took off my shoes and the cool wind blew on my feet. Nothing can beat that. I can't wait until tomorrow. Next blog will be about my experiences at Hurricane Harbor.

Personal Experience

Personal Experience

My first time to ever watch a basketball game was when I went to a clippers game. Keep in mind that this is the Clippers without Chris Paul and all the good players they have now. At the time they had Baron Davis and other players. I was young at the time so I don't remember much except for the fact that I got to play on the Clippers court for a little before the game began. The other time I went to a basketball game was when I went to go watch the Lakers play the Hornets a few years ago. I remember when I first walked in the stadium I had become in love with the Laker court. I just loved the way everything was in the Staple Center. I had a great time watching the game and I got to see up close how professionals played basketball and that was really cool to me. I was very lucky to witness Kobe Bryant hit a game winning shot against the Hornets. I remember how wild the crowd went when Kobe made the three pointer. It was a lot different being in the stadium when he makes the shot instead of watching it on TV. I also went to a game where Chris Paul accomplished a career goal of 5,000 assists and the game where Shaq retired his jersey. The best part of that was that everyone in attendance got free Shaq jerseys. I haven't been to a game for a while and I will most likely go to a game next season. If you have never been the an NBA game, I suggest you save up your money and go to one because they are really fun to watch.

2016 NBA Playoffs Predictions

2016 NBA Playoffs

This year for the NBA playoffs, the Thunder, Clippers, Spurs, Mavericks, Rockets, Warriors, Grizzlies, and Trail Blazers have entered the playoffs for the western side of the NBA. For the east, the Heat, Cavs, Pistons, Celtics, Hawks, Hornets, Raptors, and Pacers have entered the playoffs. I have my predictions at who will be winning this years NBA championship. We shall begin from the beginning. The Warriors, Clippers, and Thunder will move on. Spurs already moved on. The Heat, Raptors, and Celtics will move on. The Cavs have already moved on as well. In the second round of the NBA playoffs, the Spurs will defeat the Thunder and the Warriors will defeat the Clippers. The Cavs will dominate the Celtics and the Raptors will beat the Heat. In the western conference finals, it depends on if Stephen Curry will remain injured or will be healthy by then. If healthy, they will win, if not they will lose to the Spurs. The Cavs will beat the Raptors and the Cavs will either play the Warriors or the Spurs. The Cavs will lose to the Spurs in game seven if Kyrie Irving does not step up do to Kawhi Leonard's defensive ability to stop Lebron James. The Cavs will lose to the Warriors in game six if Stephen Curry is healthy and someone can guard Lebron James. These are just my opinions.

NBA 2k16

NBA 2k16

NBA 2k16 is a video game played by many people around the world. I personally play this game on my playstation four all the time. You can play it on many other consoles such as the xbox. This game has developed a lot over time. It began with not very good graphics, and now has graphics so good that it looks like you are watching a basketball game. There are several game modes you can play on 2k. There is MyTeam, MyCareer, MyLeague, etc. In MyTeam you basically create your own team by buying packs that contain players in them. Different packs contain different players with different values. You work your way from seed eight to the first seed by competing against online players. In MyCareer you create your own player and get him drafted to a team, from their his legacy is in your hands. You can upgrade him by spending virtual coins on his attributes and going to practices. In MyLeague you basically create your own league, but it is not the same as MyTeam. You don't spend virtual coins on this, and you can do whatever you want with the league. It is just like the actual NBA. There is much to NBA 2k16. If you don't have the game, I suggest you should get it.

Basketball Rivalries

Basketball Rivalries

Rivalries in the NBA are what make the NBA so interesting. Usually, when rival teams play against each other, the games are a lot more exciting to watch. Back in the old days you would see a fight break out once in a while but now a days there is no more action like that. Instead players take it out on each other on social media. But that is not the point of this blog. The crowd gets more into the game and it is a lot more competitive, for rival teams hate losing to each other. Some of the biggest rivalries I can think of were are the Los Angeles Lakers and the Boston Celtics, Miami Heat and the Boston Celtics, Los Angeles Lakers and the Sacramento Kings, San Antonio Spurs and the Miami Heat, etc. Take in note that some of these rivalries were from a decade ago. Not only were there team rivalries, but there was also plenty of rivalries between players. One of the biggest rivalries was the Kobe Bryant and Shaq rivalry. Although they hated each other, they were one of the most successful duos of all time. Without rivalries, basketball would not be the same.

1995-96 Chicago Bulls

1995-96 Chicago Bulls

The 1995-96 Chicago Bulls were possibly one of the best teams to ever play in the NBA. They had a record of seventy-two wins and ten loses. That is the best record that any team has ever had. The Bulls had one of the best basketball players of all time, Michael Jordan, on their team. They also had one of the best coaches of all time, Phil Jackson. On top of all that, they had amazing players like Scottie Pippen, Dennis Rodman, Steve Kerr, Toni Kukoc, Ron Harper, and many more. They were truly an unstoppable force. They had players who can do everything they needed, and a mastermind coach that led the Chicago Bulls to their six championships. The bulls sometimes went through a whole month not losing a single game. They were the only team in the NBA to reach over seventy wins. Although, the Golden State Warriors are about to reach that record as well. The 1995-96 Chicago Bulls were a team that will be remembered in basketball history for a while.

March Madness

March Madness

March Madness is one of the biggest college basketball tournaments in the NCAA. About sixty-eight teams enter March Madness and it is single elimination. The best college teams and players will be found in this tournament. It is a huge deal to sports fans. The games are very exciting to watch as well. This year, there has been so many game winners and exciting games that I would rather watch March Madness instead of NBA games. The sixty-eight teams are broken up into 4 brackets where if they lose, they are out the tournament. Many upsets occur in March Madness. An upset is where an underdog team beats one of the best teams in the tournament. A team that has found a lot of success in March Madness is UCLA with eleven championships. Ten of those championships were won with coach John Wooden. If you do not keep up with March Madness, I really suggest you check it out before it is over.

All-Star Weekend

All-Star Weekend

All-Star Weekend is a time for the NBA society to have a good time and have a little fun together until its back to their season. The event consists of a couple of events. The most known ones are the dunk challenge, skills challenge, celebrity game, three point contest, and the all-star game its self. In the dunk challenge, some of the best dunkers in the league are put into a challenge where they compete to see who has the most creative and jaw-dropping dunks. The three point contest consists of some of the best three point shooters in the league. They compete to see who can make the most three pointers in a given time. The skills challenge consists of centers and guards who compete together to see who can finish a certain obstacle in a given time. The obstacle consists of shooting, dribbling, passing, etc. The celebrity game is where celebrities go head to head to see who can win. The all-star game is where fans chose who they think should represent the eastern conference and who should represent the western conference. They go head to head to see who can win and the player who does best is awarded all start most valuable player.

Shaquille O'Neal

Shaquille O'Neal

Shaquille O'Neal is one of the most dominant big men to every play the game. Shaq is 7' 1" tall and he is very big. Looking at him scared his opponents. On top of his size, he had a very dirty play style and he was very physical. He like many other players dominated the league. He grabbed rebounds easily and scored points easily. He won four NBA championships and won three finals most valuable player awards. He also won multiple league most valuable player awards. He started off playing in Orlando with the Magic and then went on to the Los Angeles Lakers where he won three championships and played some of his best basketball. During his years as a Laker, he and a huge feud with Kobe Bryant. They were also probably one of the best duos to ever play basketball. After the Lakers, Shaq moved onto many different teams until he retired. Shaq had an amazing career and he will always be remembered for the legend he is.

Michael Jordan

Michael Jordan

Michael Jordan is one of the best basketball players who ever played the game. Currently he is retired and in the hall of fame. He is known by many around the world. He did things and played in a game that made people sit their and question if he was really human. He made shots that are nearly impossible to make. He won six championships with the Chicago Bulls along with Scottie Pippen and their coach Phil Jackson. He won most valuable player in the finals every time. Also, every time Jordan went to the finals, he never lost. He is known for many things such as his free throw line dunk, his air walk dunk, sticking his tongue out when he would dunk, his jump man logo, and his shoes. He ended his career on the Wizards. Michael Jordan is a name that will never be forgotten and will always be brought up in the basketball world.

Warriors vs. Thunder February 27, 2016

              Warriors vs. Thunder

The Warriors vs. Thunder game could have possibly been the game of the year with some of the best players in the league playing in it. It included Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, and Russell Westbrook, and Klay Thompson. Stephen Curry truly showed everyone watching why he is the best player in the league. He scored 46 points and tied Kobe Bryant's record for most 3-pointers made in a game with 12 threes. Klay Thompson added to Curry's 46 with 32 points. Kevin Durant had 37 points and Russell Westbrook had 26 points and 13 assists. Serge Ibaka also had a good game. He scored 15 points and grabbed 20 rebounds. With time running down in the final quarter of the game, the thunder had the ball and they were winning by two points. Kevin Durant threw a turnover and the Warriors passed the ball to Andre Iguodala and he got fouled while shooting. It was either he makes both free throws and they go to overtime, or he does not make both free throws and the Warriors lose. He made both free throws and they went into overtime. In overtime, Kevin Durant got fouled out for the first time since three years. It was 118 to 118 with about 6 seconds left. Of course Stephen Curry had the  ball in his hands. He pulled up from way deep in the three point line and made the shot with 0.6 seconds remaining. The Warriors ended up winning 121 to 118.

Kobe Bryant

Kobe Bryant is a six foot six shooting guard for the Los Angeles Lakers. Kobe is probably one of the best known basketball players along with Michael Jordan. He has won five NBA championships, one NBA most valuable player, and two final's most valuable player awards. He also has the second most points scored in a game which is eighty-one points.
Kobe Bryant is determined to be the best player in the league. He always would be the first person at practice and the last one to leave. He would wake up very early in the morning to go should a lot of shots before his practice or training even started. He would be drenched in sweat before his practice started. He would do what ever it takes to win. In my opinion, Kobe is one of the best players to ever play the game. He was one of my favorite players to watch before he got old. This season will be his last season.

LeBron James

LeBron James is a six foot eight small forward on the Cleveland Cavaliers. He has two championships, two finals most valuable players, and four NBA most valuable players. He was originally drafted on the Cavs, but then switched teams to the Miami Heat where he won two out of four of his championships. He just recently signed back with the Cavs.
LeBron James is one of the most unstoppable players in the league. His strength makes defenders move out of his way when he is driving to the basket. Even though he is not a point guard, he still has amazing court vision and can find his teammates a perfect shot. He has also developed a jump shot that goes in most of the time. He also has amazing defense and he knows the game very well. All this makes him unstoppable. You will see what I am talking about if you watch him play.

Stephen Curry

To begin my new blog topic, I will be talking about Stephen Curry. Stephen is a six foot three point guard in the NBA. He plays for the Golden State Warriors and he has won one championship in his career. He also  has been rewarded with the season's most valuable player. He recently won the championship against the Cleveland Cavaliers in six games. Stephen is currently averaging 29.4 points a game, 5.2 rebounds a game, and 6.5 assists a game. He leads the league in points per game. In mine and many other people's opinions, Stephen is one of the best shooters to ever play the game. If you watch him play you will see how easily he can score and from how far he can shoot the ball. When Stephen shoots a three, defenders immediately assume it is going in due to the amount of three pointers he has made.
Although, many people did not think Stephen Curry would be as good as he is today. He did not get many offers from any of the top colleges to play basketball when he was in high school. Many people thought he was too small to play with the pros. They thought he relied on his shot too much and that he would have trouble doing many things in college basketball. Critics wrote many cons about Stephen Curry. He put in a lot of hard work during the summer going into college and he developed a better body and a better game. He went into college and got drafted into the NBA as the seventh pick to the Warriors. He proved everyone wrong.
I have decided to no longer do my blogs about Prison Break because I began to run out of ideas about what to write about. From now on my blogs will mostly be about sports or random things that happen to me in my life.
